PS 33 Chelsea Prep Look Ahead provides a glimpse into life in our school. This project was my initiative and was recorded with intentions to highlight and celebrate all of the success we've achieved as a school community. As a proud member of our Social-Emotional Learning Committee, I was excited to capture and share the positive school climate with others. I created this video using various forms of media such as Apple technology, a Nikon DSLR camera, and more. The final video was edited using iMovie. Enjoy!
This video provides an overview of the digital learning tool, Scribblar. Through Scribblar.com, educators and students can collaborate on an interactive whiteboard. This tool offers live audio, instant messaging and image sharing. Scribblar would serve as a productive tool for educators to communicate with their scholars as well as with families to better support learning in and out of school.
This video is a teaching tool created to introduce a helpful tool, Literacy Leveler. Literacy Leveler is an easy-to-use application that assists teachers in leveling their classroom libraries. With a vast database, Literacy Leveler quickly scans and identifies the guided reading level, lexile level and more of the given text. This can act as a productive digital resource for educators, parents and librarians alike! Literacy Leveler can be used to guide individuals towards selecting "just-right" books for independent practice in and out of school!
Here is a digital presentation that was created through Google Slides. This presentation was worked on as a collaborative effort by my grade team. This video was recorded for incoming 4th grade families for the 2020-21 academic year. This presentation acts as evidence to demonstrate my mastery of one of many Google Suite applications.
This document was created by adapting a Google Document Template. Through a previously created template, I was able to customize my own content into the structure. This technology allowed me to produce an informative pamphlet on Autism Spectrum Disorder.
This video was created to go alongside a Professional Development I designed as an assignment for EDIT 605. The focus of my Professional Development is using digital learning tools to foster literacy in the classroom. More specifically, the professional development is geared to teach participants how to successfully utilize Raz Kids and MobyMax to develop students' love of reading and of books. This was a scripted video that required thorough research to produce.

This is an Screencast-O-Matic video I created to advertise for the application, Plotagon Studio. Plotagon is an interactive animation application on which you can customize characters and scenes in inclusive ways. The product of Plotagon can be used to help convey content in a classroom. Below you can view ways in which I have implemented this digital learning tool into my academic instruction.
This video is evidence of my application of Plotagon Studio. This video was created as a tool to help launch a Grade 4 Social Studies unit on Freedom and Government in the New Nation. Here, you can see the way I've designed a character who's attire matches the historical time period in which I am referring to. One aspect to note is that I've utilized the scripted video and closed caption features offered by Plotagon to enhance my content in a way that makes it more accessible to all!
In my classroom, students will conduct a research project in which they select a subtopic from our unit about Freedom and Government in the New Nation. Students will be guided and encouraged to complete their projects using digital media and online learning tools. This is a sample video that will be used to model ways in which students can utilize Plotogon Studio to successfully meet the criteria of the research question portion of their project.
This Plotagon video is another piece of evidence that demonstrates my competency in using this application. This video is used in my instruction as an engaging launch for a unit introduction to our literacy studies focused on the American Revolution. One feature to note is the carefully selected scenes that are used as an effort to weave in historical context! This video was created as a digital story for course, EDIT 614: Language Arts and Technology at New York Institute of Technology.
This video incorporates both Plotagon Studio, Screencast-O-Matic and Symbaloo.com. In this video, I orient the viewer to my personalized Symbaloo Webmix.
